Privacy statement
Last updated: 2 October 2026. This is a translation of the Dutch privacy statement. If the two differ, the Dutch version applies.
NextRoute recruits and supports taxi drivers and puts them in touch with clients. To do this, we process personal data. In this privacy statement you can read which data that is, why we use it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which data do we process?
We only process data that you give us yourself, for example via Messenger, via a sign-up form in an advertisement on Facebook or Instagram, by phone or during an intake:
- Name, phone number, email address and place of residence
- Information about your driving licence, taxi driver's card (chauffeurskaart) and work experience, and whether you are allowed to work in the Netherlands
- Your preference for type of employment, availability and other wishes
- Your CV and other information you choose to share with us
- Notes from conversations and intakes
We do not ask for special categories of personal data (such as health or religion), nor for your citizen service number (BSN). Please do not share that information with us during the application phase.
3. Why do we use your data?

We do not take decisions about you that are based solely on automated processing.
4. Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We only share it when that is necessary for the purposes above:
- Clients (taxi and transport companies) to whom you are introduced. We only do this after discussing it with you.
- Partners in recruitment and placement, such as employment and staffing agencies we work with to place you.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as our hosting provider (Cloudflare), office software and our applicant tracking system (ATS). Where required, we have a data processing agreement with these parties.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. if you sign up via a form in an advertisement on Facebook or Instagram. Meta is responsible for its own platform. Read Meta's privacy policy.
- Government authorities, if we are legally required to do so.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some service providers (such as Meta and Cloudflare) may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. This only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
6. How long do we keep your data?
- We keep application and sign-up data for no longer than 4 weeks after the procedure ends.
- With your consent, we keep your data for no longer than 1 year after the procedure ends, so we can contact you for new jobs.
- If you are placed, we keep the data needed for the collaboration for as long as the law requires or as is necessary.
7. Cookies and tracking
This website does not place tracking or advertising cookies and does not load external fonts or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical data (such as your IP address) to keep the website secure and available. If we start using analytics cookies or an advertising pixel in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this statement.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use. For example: an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need the data, and two-step verification on our systems.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a common format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Send your request via Messenger or by post to the address in section 1. We respond within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself.
10. Filing a complaint
Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first, so we can look for a solution together. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
